Schranz is defined as very heavy and dark underground Techno , but its name "Schranz" means "to harass" it was invented by Chris Liebing, the most popular maker of this species. It was first used in 1994 in one of French music shops when he was listening new record he said "Diese Platte schranzt gut!" what means "this platter tears good!", this expression became popular very soon especially in Germany.
